Eyelid Surgery
Eyelids begin to sag against gravity with the effect of loosening in the connective tissue and skin with age. Since this deformation, which occurs in both the upper eyelids and the lower eyelids, is related to the visual field in the upper eyelids, it is not only an aesthetic problem but also often causes functional problems. In these cases, the person has a tired and old face appearance. Since the skin structure on the eyelids is thinner than other parts of the body, sagging, bagging and bruises become more prominent. The upper eyelid is sometimes evaluated for aesthetic concerns alone. However, drooping and sagging in the eyebrows, which are caused by the effect of structural or age, deserve a more detailed examination and evaluation in a functional sense. Depending on the deformation, there may be only sagging on the skin, but there are degrees of excess fat tissue, sagging and eyebrow drooping, as well as advanced deformation.
