The word orthodontics consists of the Greek words ortho, regular and odons. Orthodontics is a specialty of Dentistry that deals with the proper placement of teeth on the dental bones and the diagnosis and treatment of facial irregularities.

A dental implant is a medical product that is surgically placed into the jawbone or skull bones to support dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, removable dental prostheses, facial prostheses or to use as a fixed support in orthodontic treatments.
